Brigance
Curriculum and FAQs
Brigance Screening Assessments help us as Early Childhood Educators to
determine the strengths and weaknesses of each child through a variety
of basic skills. We are able to determine learning abilities, language,
cognitive development, fine and gross motor skills, body awareness, number
skills and visual discrimination.
The screening takes about 10-15 minuets during a relaxed conversation
with a teacher. The teacher and child talk while using a series of pictures
and simple directions. The results are marked on a data sheet allowing
the teacher to create a learning environment that builds on the child's
abilities while strengthening the child's weaknesses.
